For the next community day in Pokemon Go, mark your calendars for Sunday, October 12, 2025. The duration of the event will be from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (your local time)
Like each community day, this event will also have a featured Pokemon; Solosis, the Cell Pokémon. A cell Pokemon looks like a cell and is tiny in size.
Every month, players get to participate in a Pokemon Go Community Day event for a single day. It has a time duration for that day where you can catch a featured pokemon. This event also gives you bonuses and tasks to earn rewards.
You must be wondering what’s special about a Pokemon community day? Here are a few basics that you should know:
● For a few hours on that day, one specific Pokémon spawns much more often than usual.
● It’s also easier to find that specific pokemon in its shiny form (a rare, different-colored version).
● During the event time, evolving the featured pokemon triggers a special move that it can’t normally learn.
● You also get Pokemon Go Community Day bonuses that aren’t available every day.
In short, it’s a fun few-hour event where you can catch one special Pokémon, shiny form if you’re lucky, and get rewards.
This October, players can catch Solosis more frequently in the wild. You can either get a regular form or a shiny one if you’re lucky. If you get even luckier, you can also get one with a special Tales of Transformation background!
Solosis is a psychic-type pokemon. It can repel attackers through psychic powers and can also communicate through telepathy. Since it’s suspended in liquid, it can survive in any environment. This cell pokemon is pretty powerful for its size.
You can evolve Solosis during the event time. While evolving, it undergoes shape changes. We’ll break them down for you in the next section.
The main difference between a regular Solosis and a shiny Solosis cell pokemon is obviously the shine. A shiny Solosis will evolve during pokemon community day into a Shiny Reuniclus. Here’s what a regular Solosis looks like vs a shiny Solosis:
(Shiny Solosis on the right)
Solosis, the cell pokemon, evolves into Duosion which costs 25 Candy. Duosion evolves into Reuniclus which costs 100 Candy.
This is what it looks like when evolving:
A featured attack is a special move that the Pokemon learns on Pokemon Go Community Day which it otherwise cannot. If you evolve Duosion between 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, or up to four hours afterwards, you can get a Reuniclus that knows the Fast Attack Charm.
Charm:
● Trainer Battles: 13 power
● Gyms and raids: 20 power
If you catch Solosis during the event hours, you can claim the following bonuses:
● Spawns: More frequent spawns in the wild
● Stardust: 3x stardust when you catch the Solosis
● Candy: 2x candy when you catch Solosis
● Candy XL: Trainers level 31 and up can get 2x chance of Candy XL when catching the cell pokemon
● Snapshot will get you another surprise.
● Incense: 3h incense to attract pokemon
Lure Module Bonuses: There’s a high chance for you to catch Solosis at Pokéstops during 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time, with active regular Lure Modules. You will still get the Shiny Solosis or Solosis with Tales of Transformation background.
Additional Trade: You will also get one additional Special Trade that can be made for a maximum of three for the day.
50% off on Trades: Trades will require 50% less Stardust.
If you complete theme related research tasks, you can get rewards. There are two types of research, Community Day Special Research and Field Research.
You can get access to Solosis Community Day–exclusive Special Research for US$1.99. You can complete the research tasks to win the following rewards:
● 3 encounters with Solosis that have a Tales of Transformation background
● Additional encounters with Solosis
● 1 Premium Battle Pass
● 1 Rare Candy XL
Note: The rewards related to Special Research do not affect any other Pokemon Go Community Day bonuses.
Field research is free. You can participate in tasks or mini quests that you get by spinning PokéStops. When you complete those special tasks, you can get rewards like Stardust, Great Balls, and extra Solosis encounters.
Some tasks can also increase your chances of encountering a Solosis with a Tales of Transformation background.
Why should you do the Field Research tasks on Pokemon community day? Because besides catching lots of pokemon Solosis in the wild, you’ll also get fun rewards by doing PokéStop tasks.
You can also connect with ambassadors in your area by checking out Community Day Map. If there aren’t any closeby, you can search Campfire and find other meetup spots closer to your area.
To conclude, the upcoming Pokemon Go community day will give you a chance to catch lots of Solosis, cell pokemon. The chances of getting a shiny Solosis or one with a special background are high. If you participate in the event during the mentioned hours, you can get multiple bonuses like stardust, candy, candy XL.
Increase your chance of getting further rewards by completing the Field Research and Special Research tasks. Don’t miss to spin at the PokéStops to increase your chances of getting the Solosis Pokemon and extra bonuses. Also, don’t forget to have fun because this event is all about having fun and connecting with other players.
